This reminds me of an analogy I once heard long ago. Someone once taught that perhaps because America was too busy trying to run from Malcolm X and the violent ways of his group that they became more open to Dr. Martin Luther King and his teachings.

Could this be the case with Islamists? Folks will once again run fast from the terrorists and embrace the Islamists 2.0 softer kind?

(Its not quite the same! But bear with me.)
