Wher do you live Yasemin?

Reader comment on item: Islamism 2.0
in response to reader comment: the worst enemy of Turkey

Submitted by Sulo (United States), Nov 26, 2009 at 17:15

Yasemin, do you live in Mars? Youtube has been banned because some people from other countries uploaded videos that contained insulting statements against Ataturk. And the ban is a court decision.

The current government is expanding its democratic boundaries to include all ethnicities and religious minorities, implementing zero-problem polciy with the neighbors and becoming a regional power. Yes, it is true that the current government has its roots to fundamental Islamism. But, they have become more pragmatic en route. They evolved significantly in the process, whereas the military, the court and the media still resides in the stone age.

... Yasemin, go ahead and get rid of your prejudice.
