Listen, Moshe, if you want to believe that Islam is a horrible, warmongering religion based on the depravations of its more extremist practitioners, you will also need to weigh their actions against those of Muslims like myself who have been trying to reverse the damage that has been inflicted by the extremists among us. Moderate Muslims in places like Bosnia, Albania, Bangladesh, Northern Iraq/Kurdistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, to name just a few places, have been on the front lines against extremist Muslims. I understand that there are even Muslims among Palestinians who risk life and limb to counter the devastation that their leadership has wrought on their own people by cooperating with Israelis.

The enemies of moderate Muslims include not just extremist Muslims but the Western Media as well, who have completely ignored their efforts and prefer to focus on the "atrocities" committed by American troops, on the "unpopularity" of George W. Bush's foreign policies and on their focus on the extremists as being the "true" practitioners of Islam.

I'm not here to convince you to accept Islam or to even change your opinion of Islam and Muslims. But I can see you as an ally in the War on Terror, or as a collaborator with our enemies, the Muslim extremists. It seems to me that you want to be on the same side as I am. But you're not helping by attacking the religion of Islam itself. It's not your religion, and it's obvious to me that you don't have a clue with regard to its teachings. You're fighting blind here, man. If you want to help, then keep your eye on the ball and on the ultimate goal...victory over Muslim extremists. But if you want more than, if you're on the side of people who want to turn the entire world against Islam as a religion and a civilization, your'e wasting your time. And even if you succeed, God forbid, wars and killings won't disappear. We're all human beings, for better or for worse, and wars have been around for as long as people have been writing history, or even longer.

Good day to you, sir.
