Nabil, the problem may be not with the religion but with its followers. They turned Islam into a ... Worshippers Cult. And please don't keep repeating the worn-out argument that only a minority among Muslims is actively involved in terrorism, and all the rest are "nice, peace loving people". The resounding silence of these people, or even worse, their terror apologetics tells the whole story.

As things look right now, ANY religion you can think of is better than Islam.
