Racial profiling has become necessary.

Reader comment on item: [Naveed Haq and] "Sudden Jihad Syndrome" in Seattle

How liberal should we become if our open mindedness results in our brains being blown off? There is no easy solution. Granted it makes me feel bad when my brother, who looks Arabic or Mexican or whatever, is racially profiled and detained because he is assumed to be something he is not. Nevertheless if people are so unpredictable that they freely go on rampages and shooting sprees to satisfy their anger or hatred they must be stopped. However, I'm really not sure how.

These incidents are not merely the outcome of differences of opinion but are the culmination of mental illness and unbridled anger. How can insane people be stopped? When you find the solution let me know. It may be 27 years too late for me--I am finally divorced from an insanely angry man--but maybe we can stop other innocent and peace loving people from getting destroyed.
