You said: "......You claim that "Lord Krishna" claimed to be the highest, and, if I understand correctly, according to the verses that you quoted from the Geeta, claimed to have assumed a human form. If this was the case, whaever became of him?....."

My response: Sorry, but your understanding is not correct. Krishna never "assumed" a human form. He was in human form from the very biginning. In order to explain this he says:

Geeta/7:24: "Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, was impersonal before and have NOW assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and supreme."

Then you asked whatever happened of him? Well he manifested his pasttimes in this material world for the benefit of his devotees and also for annihilating the evil. Once that was done, he retrurned to his spiritual abode.

You said: "....only God is to be feared. Fear of anything other than God could end up causing the destruction of your soul"

Well, if there is anything which does not need to be feared, that is God himself. We do not need to fear from him, rather perform devotional loving service unto him with all our hearts.
