What Faqir Chand says is absolute truth. The western readers must also pay attention to the happenings in the the subcontinent, that of Pak. sponsored terrorism. One of the readers laments that Jews have no friends. Well in a way it is true. Evn if there are friends they are scared to come out in open support lest incidents similar to the seattle one repeats.

India is facing a proxy war with Pakistan. Just like Hezbollah and the Islamic cronies who can never ever win a conventional war against Israel, Pakistan very well knows it cannot match India's military might. Just as Israel crushed the combined Arab military in the earlier wars India has crushed Pakistan's evil designs in '65, 71 and the recent '99 Kargil wars. The very mission of Pakistan is obliteration of the Hindu majority just as it is the mission of the terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah to wipe out Israel.

Intellectuals like Daniel Pipes, Swank et al must please take note of this grave threat facing India and must expose the evil designs of an Islamic Pakistan. It is a grave folly for the Western society to treat India's problem as bilateral while according highest priority to the problems faced by the US, Israel and all democratic European nations. Inaida's and Israel's problems are very similar. While Israel is a shining beacon of light amidst a medieval barbarity constantly watching it's back India is no different in that it is facing a constant threat from Islamic Pakistan where the students are taught to hate India and Hindus right from the time they learn to read.

Israel is a shining beacon of light amist darkness and medieval barbarity. Ask any Indian (read Hindu) and he overwhelmingly supports Israel and the US in it's war on terror. But the same is not reciprocated which is very sad. It is never too late to start a media campaign against these terrorists in Pakistan well funded and supported by govt. officials, who are causing havoc in the guise of 'freedom' resorting to ethnic cleansing in Kashmir valley. Thousands upon thousands of Hindus have been driven out of their homes and many killed and the female members of their families abducted and converted to Islam. A Pakistani's mentality cannot be changed where the students are taught to hate India and Hindus right from the time they learn to read.

While I hold Mr Pipes, who is doing an extraordinary work to educate the world on the global threat posed by Islamists, in very high regard it pains to see that India seems to miss his radar almost all the time when terrorism topic heats up. The need of the hour is to focus on India's problems vis-a-vis an Islamic Pakistan as much as the media gives attention to Israel's. Almost all terror related incidents in the world have it's origins in Pakistan be it the WTC bombing in '93, 9/11, daniel pearl and the recent seattle incident just to name a few.

Daniel Pipes replies:

I agree that Pakistan is a major source of Islamism and terrorism, but I am a Middle Eastern specialist who only rarely ventures to other parts of dar al-Islam.
