Nabil, I would like to congratulate for coming very close to completely confusing me. And indeed, I would like an explanation.
On August 23/06 you stated that, "The concept of "abrogation" is condemned in the Qur'an".

On August 25/06, I responded with the following statement, "Nabil Ahmad, you state that "the concept of "abrogation" is condemned in the Qur'an". I would really appreciate it if you would provide the applicable Aya".

On August 28/06 you respond by quoting Aya 2:106: "Such of Our revelations as We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things".
Do you understand Nabil? You quoted Aya 2:106 which clearly proves that Allah abrogated or caused forgetting of certain Ayas.

You just proved that I am correct, but rather than conceding you tell me that I was wrong by making the following statement: "Now does 2:106 convince you that I am wrong and that you are right? If it does, it demonstrates how little you know about Islam and its early history and the history of the revelations of the Qur'an".

While I've disagreed with many of your comments, you did impress me with your clear literate statements, however this last statement completely baffles me.

I should also caution you regarding your belief that I know little about the Qur'an since I've read 3 different translations and am reading my 4th and may I suggest that you do the same with the Bible.
