in response to reader comment: Response to Nabil Ahmad "What to look out for"

Why did you just take snippets of the Qur'an to "prove" your point and take them out of context in order to do so? You're as bad as the extremists in Islam. All that you've proved here is that you are as ignorant of Islam as the "Islamic" extremists are.

9:13

Will ye not fight a folk who broke their solemn pledges, and purposed to drive out the messenger and did attack you first? What! Fear ye them? Now Allah hath more right that ye should fear Him, if ye are believers.

9:14

Fight them! Allah will chastise them at your hands, and He will lay them low and give you victory over them, and He will heal the breasts of folk who are believers.

9:15

And He will remove the anger of their hearts. Allah relenteth toward whom He will. Allah is Knower, Wise.

The above verses addressed the Muslims at the time of Muhammad who had been forced to flee Mecca. In today's world, it would be used to address Muslims who are driven out of their homes by their own government simply for being Muslims, but they would not be allowed to wage acts of terrorism. Acts of war can only take place between legitimate governments and their respective armies as was the case between the pagans of Mecca and the Muslims of Medina.

My answer to your quoting of 9:23 is the following:

60:8

Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. Whosoever maketh friends of them-(All) such are wrong-doers.

The above verse is pretty self-explanatory to me. Do you see it in the same way that I do?

As far as 9:33 is concerned, that is something that is neither in the hands of the Muslims nor in the hands of the non-Muslims. Only God knows best and He will do what He will and when He wants to. So ask yourself the following question: Is your fear of God greater than your fear of Muslims and Islam, or is it the other way around?

In my view, the Islamic extremists fear people like myself more than they fear Allah, which is why they seek out people like myself for destruction. To them, it is more dangerous to have Muslims around who don't agree with their twisted worldview than it is to be surrounded by non-Muslims. This would probably be the reason why the early Wahabi conquerors turned their swords and guns against Arab Muslims in the Hijaz who were minding their own business and not bothering anyone but did nothing to drive out the British Imperialists who had seized Jeddah and Aden from Arab Muslims.

Now you can be part of the solution or you can be a part of the problem. Blindly accepting Islam will not solve anything. Attempting to destry Islam will only help the extremists...that's what they've been trying to do as well. the choice is yours to make. No one can make that choice for you.

None of us know what will happen in the near future. There are no guarantees...except for the fact that each and every one of us will die at some point in time, and that we shall all be assembled before God for One Last Judgment.
