Ahmad, Prove you are right

in response to reader comment: Ahmad, Abrogation

Submitted by Infidel (Canada), Aug 28, 2006 at 12:53

Nabil Ahmad. In your comments of August 13/06, you referred to Aya 60.8 "Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. Whosoever maketh friends of them-(All) such are wrong-doers".

You used this Aya to invalidate the very condemning Aya's of Sura 9. In fact you stated, "Why did you just take snippets of the Qur'an to "prove" your point and take them out of context in order to do so? You're as bad as the extremists in Islam. All that you've proved here is that you are as ignorant of Islam as the "Islamic" extremists are".

I responded on Aug 22/06 with the following statement, Come on Ahmad, us dumb Infidels know that Aya 9:33 was written after Aya 60:8 thus abrogating any Suras that were written before Sura 5 and 9. Nice try! On August 23/06 you responded by stating, "The concept of "abrogation" is condemned in the Qur'an". I responded on August 25/06 with the following statement, "Nabil Ahmad, you state, "the concept of "abrogation" is condemned in the Qur'an".

I would really appreciate it if you would provide the applicable Aya". Your last statement to me on August 23/06 was, "If you feel that you're right and that I am wrong, please try your best to prove this to me. I always enjoy a good debate...and making people throw temper tantrums when their arguments fall apart in the face of logical reasoning and historical facts".

I'm trying to prove to you that I'm right and you're wrong, but you refuse to tell me where in the Qur'an, the concept of "abrogation" is condemned. Why don't don't you prove that you are right and answer my question before I throw another temper tantrum?
