Vinodgupt, Muslim versus Islamist

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict
in response to reader comment: Islamist and Muslim

Submitted by Infidel (Canada), Oct 3, 2006 at 20:28

Immigrant Muslims establish separate communities, their own schools, their own community centers, their own worship centers, their own stores and work diligently to bring neighboring communities to respect and acquiesce to their demands, particularily by introducing sharia laws. In areas where their numbers are influential, they encourage Christian communities to downplay and even cease public observances of Christmas, Easter and other Christian observances. Muslims are fitting into the west by changing it to fit their demands. It's, shall we say, "a work in progress". Therefore a Muslim is a minority, a recent immigrant and not confident enough to demand that society acknowledge his superiority, while an Islamist has matured and has accepted and celebrates his superior status in non Muslim countries.
