A non-violent response

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict

Submitted by Pat (United States), Sep 26, 2006 at 12:05

"You Westerners no longer have the privilege to say what you will about Islam, the Prophet, and the Qur'an, Islamic law rules you too"

The best way for the West to respond is to say: "You Muslims no longer have the privilege to enter our countries, not even for travel and tourism, education or medical care. You cannot destroy that which you cannot reach."

The US response needs to be: "UN what are you doing about this? We can no longer host an organization whose members support a movement bent on our destruction. Farewell to you all. This building has been condemned. All must vacate. This property is being reclaimed for the American people, from whom it was taken under false pretenses. In an act of generosity and to prove our good will, we Americans will pay for your one-way plane tickets to your second home in Geneva or to any country of your choosing."

Unfortunately, it will never happen.
