Westerners are losing all speech rights

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict

Submitted by Old Atlantic (United States), Sep 26, 2006 at 11:44

This is an important discussion of the attack, but we must also consider why we don't get more help in the defense. The NY Times didn't help us against the Pope. US MSM didn't print many cartoons or show them on TV. There was a culture of apology and of lack of free speech to challenge any threat to the West.

This is part of no profiling on 9-11. Those who are against profiling should be asked if they were glad there was no profiling on the morning of 9-11? On the day of the next attack, will they say, "I'm glad there was no profiling."
Should that be put on the memorials of the dead on 9-11, they died so that there could be no profiling?
