Twisted logic

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict
in response to reader comment: Islam is flexible

It is easy to rebut this form of propaganda.

  • it is not true to state that there are more conversions to Islam. Muslims are not allowed to convert to Christianity or any other religion, because they fear punishment by the sword.
  • Define what is meant by "unless you are attacked", especially the word "attack". I would be interested to hear your reasoning for the brutal murder, by beheading of three Christian girls in Indonesia. The fourth girl escaped and she has horrendous machete wounds. Did these girls attack anyone? I think not. Did Sr. Leonella attack anyone before she was shot in the back? Did Daniel Perl attack anyone before he was beheaded?
  • The Koran states that the Kafir are fair game and that if they do not submit to Islam then they are to be killed.

There is not much need to continue with a rebuttal, for I believe that the Koran says all that is necessary. Islam is not a religion. The differences are not about race, and Islam is definitely not a race. However, Islam is a political system. It is a system of tyrannical dictatorship, where the tyrants want to subjugate all others. Thus we have the edict in the Koran: convert to Islam or die.
