Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict
in response to reader comment: pope justifies dhimmi outlook

Donald O, is your message some sort of secret code with a hidden meaning... ? You state that this spiritual leader willingly compromised the dignity of those that were killed by his mistake? Whose dignity was compromised? And who was killed by his mistake? And if some outraged Muslim kills an innocent person, why is the dignity of the innocent person compromised? And why is it the Pope's fault if anyone was killed? And what was his mistake?

And is the Pope only entitled to speech pre-approved by and sanctioned by Muslims? And if not sanctioned and approved, it becomes a crime? And quoting a sentence from 1391 AD is now the latest outrage? What do you mean when you title your remarks; "Pope justifies dhimmi outlook"? Don't you know that dhimmi is an Arabic word used to refer to humans below Muslim status, specifically, Christians, Jews, and Infidels? Donald O, what are you talking about?
