Mr. Daniel Pipes!

Intimidating the West, or Intimidating the Muslim World?

"Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict"……………. "The violence by Muslims responding to comments by the pope fit a pattern that has been building and accelerating since 1989. Six times since then, Westerners did or said something that triggered death threats and violence in the Muslim world." You used the words westerner, did or say something. You're not going to give thousands of Muslims the right to live in the USA, though they are living there for years; I'm pointing toward immigration roles, but made Rushdie a westerner. Is not it a double standard? Why is so? Is it because he is the enemy of Islam and you share that enmity?

1989 – Salman Rushdie's novel, The Satanic Verses prompted Ayatollah Khomeini to issue a death edict against him and his publishers, on the grounds that the book "is against Islam, the Prophet, and the Koran."

A person speaking against Bush and his slaves, Muslim Rulers, is termed "terrorist" and then thrown to the containers, is being tortured leaving all rules of civilized world aside, you never pinned down that what is happening and if Muslims are showing their anger when their religion and prophet is being attacked and abused so you jump down, directing all the cannons towards Muslim world.

2002 – The American evangelical leader Jerry Falwell calls Muhammad a "terrorist," leading to church burnings and at least 10 deaths in India.

We condemn burning of church but Dozens of Mosques are burned down in France and other part of west after the 9/11, Is not that violence or if Christians burn mosques that doesn't fall in the category of violence?

2005 – An incorrect story in Newsweek, reporting that American interrogators at Guantánamo Bay, "in an attempt to rattle suspects, flushed a Qur'an down a toilet," is picked up by the famous Pakistani cricketer, Imran Khan, and prompts protests around the Muslim world, leading to at least 15 deaths.

How can you say that an incorrect story? It is being published in Newsweek that is not so much different from your website and not a pro-Islamic magazine in the Muslim world. And what would be the reaction of practicing Christians if bible is flushed down in toilet?

February 2006 – The Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten publishes twelve cartoons of Muhammad….. He succeeds so well, hundreds die, mostly in Nigeria.

What happens with those who call Holocaust a Drama. What happened with the Gibson?

September 2006 – Pope Benedict XVI quotes a Byzantine emperor's views that what is new in Islam is "evil and inhuman," prompting the firebombing of churches and the murder of several Christians.

Why pope did Quoted the views of defeated Byzantine emperor Manuel 2 and why not the "educated Persian Muslim" Why did you people remember the name of Manuel 2 and why is the Persian kept unknown?

I would like Mr. Daniel an "intellectual War Lord" who is fighting Bush's "War on Islam" on this front to respond me himself. Sir if you couldn't post in the readers comment section I would love to hear from you on my email. This is the initial response to a chain of your allegation and I would go in details once I get to know your opinion on what I said.

Daniel Pipes replies:

My views are mischaracterized here, in particular the one that I'm "not going to give thousands of Muslims the right to live in the USA." Muslims are welcome, Islamists are not. How to permit one and exclude the other is a great challenge that lies ahead.
