Dear Dr Pipes,

It is hilarious how islamists use the religious tests of other religions to drive their agenda. We have seen islamic apologists decrying Bible as a corrupted book and then quoting from Bible to give evidence in support of Quran and Muhammad. There is no evidence if Prophet Muhammad even knew that Hindus existed when he started his religion. But, heaven forbid, if he had known about us, we would have been at the bottom of his totem pole way below Christians, Jews, Pagans and others.

That would have been because we do not believe in a last prophet, we do not believe in not associating forms to God, and we do not believe that God will ever pass a gag-order on Himself by writing a last book or final word. WIth that background, it is hilarious that your reader Nabeel from India quotes from Hindu Vedas and Upanishads in favor of Muhammad.

Sorry, Nabeel, more likely than not, Upanishads and Vedas have nothing to do with Muhammad. Upanishad and Vedas are a deep inquiry into the nature of the devine. While Islam claims to know the God's will to the very last letter, Upsanishads are way too humble about it. I will invite Nabeel to read the upanishads and/or the ancient Greek religious thought and see if he finds any virtue in them. But, no, no Hindu scripture, to the best of my knowledge, makes a prophesy about any specific prophet's coming to this world. Happy exploring, dear Nabeel.
