Charles, where did you get the firsthand information about these details ? When you say "Still, it is strange that Mr Wilders does not get the right to choose his own witnesses..." that is perfectly normal. As for the experts they only provide information that covers contextual, non-legal facts and evaluations. The matter itself, Wilders' words in publication and the film are undisputed.

"The prosecution does not have anybody they would want to call to the stand however." is a more serious matter. Given the number of accusations and the amount of what Wilders said I believe Wilders' defense should insist to have at least one victim of discrimation, one victim of hate testify. There is not a single evidence to any damage at all. Second the prosecution needs to prove that this woild be a result of Wilders' speech and third that it was his intention to hurt muslims.
