Reader comment on item: Why I Stand with Geert Wilders

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Jan 19, 2010 at 08:49

It's a sin and a shame---and an outrage---that Geert Wilders is facing such punishment for speaking out for what he believes in. That he must travel with bodyguards is indicative of the hatred of his enemies, i.e. that they wish him dead. Mr. Wilders convictions against Islam are strong and shared by many, but how many would have the courage to stand up and publicly denounce this ideology? Yes, we Westerners do cherish our civilization and I sincerely pray that the outcome of this trial will be in Geert Wilders' favor.
