the "ideal of a world without borders" - when East Germany opened the border

Grand Infidel, the whole point about borders is of course to privilege those who are inside over those on the outside. The night East Germany opened the border I drove out from the western side. I watched all sorts of people walking, driving, cycling from east to west to have a look. What I will never ever forget is that everybody turned around and went back into the east again. The real border was in their heads, they could not cross it. And that is what I see with the radical islamists and many immigrants. Even when they are in the west, their minds stay somewhere else. And that place I do not want to be in and this is why they should not be given access in the first place.
