something fascinating and positive about islamic culture

David, when I say fascinating I do not include any judgement. Same as horror movies. Here's something I find fascinating and both positive and sometimes negative at the same time: I absolutely admire calligraphy writing in arabic, think of the al-jazeera logo, which of course is far developed in order to write beautiful copies of qranic verses. Imagine the most beautiful writing of a qranic verse with the most horribel meaning like "kill the infidel". Both can exist in the same writing. This also servers as a good example to compare christianity with islam. in very old bibles from the middle ages you will find the most refined illustrations. Islam does not allow for illustration so the artwork needed to go into the letters.
