History repeats itself

Reader comment on item: The Islamic States of America?

Submitted by Shahin S. (United States), Sep 24, 2004 at 13:55

Dr. Pipes' analysis is very important to study. This approach that the Muslim Brotherhood is taking in the United States, is an approach that the Leftists in Iran took before the 1979 revolution. The Tudeh Party, the National Front Party, and the Mujahdin e-Khalg Party told the masses that they advocate democracy and the rule of law but they allied themselves with radical clergy such as Khomeini, in which the Shah used to call "unholy alliance of black and red" to ruin Iran and then export their idea of Islamic state around the world. History is repeating itself, unless we do something about it.
