Religious intolerance in Egypt

Reader comment on item: The Islamic States of America?
in response to reader comment: Islam is not a religion

Submitted by Michael Shafik (United States), Jun 2, 2009 at 11:57

I came back from a recent visit to Egypt, my birth place, and must report that the condition of the Copts ( Christians of Egypt ) is saddening.

The spread of secterian hate has reached a level never before encounterd. Coptic girls, who are usualy unveiled, are attacked by Moslem mob and in many cases are kidnapped, violated and forced to convert to Islam while the police and secret service aid the criminals and accuse the families of the kidnapped girls that they are interfering with a legal and legitimate coversion. Many more discriminatory acts, too many to list here, are commited against those helpless people on a daily basis.

If you want to know more read the reports of Amnesty international. Present Islam will destroy peace in the world, Islam is no longer a religion ...
