Reader comment on item: Barack Obama's Muslim Childhood
in response to reader comment: holy smokes

Submitted by Dennis Busch (United States), Aug 28, 2008 at 15:39

Let's see, if you grew up on a pig farm in Iowa and have made it from bloody hard work, i would have to say that neither of these people represent my values...An ARAB/AMERICAN (Barack is 1/8 African American so I'd say he is more Arab than "Black") who got to go to Harvard an become a lawyer, or an Admiral's kid to has been in government his whole life...Hmmm...neither....

But to see the convention last night and watch the democrats and the press gush because some guy said the word change a million times is too painful. When we crazy right wingers elect somebody, we are as skeptical as you...We wonder if THIS guy will act like a grown-up and do his darned work. The Dems are so willing to submit to the "new leader, who will lead us and change the change that needs to be changed" It is as if you have never read the consitution and found out what the president is there for.

Lead us...My God, what a plea...what a cry for help...

I am not worried about Obama's childhood, but he does have connections to Islamists that are pretty scary. Oh, and that is right now...not forty years ago... I took his word for being a Christian and not 'growing up muslim' but I have been convinced otherwise since his convention started...

Submitting....
