Syed Kasim,

The verse was not taken out of context, it was merely utilized as one example of the numerous verses written in the Qu'ran that many Muslims, including Alqaedans, apply to support their teaching of the method of "sacred deceit" (taqiyya) or "hidden deceit" that is permitted or allowed (halal) in their political aspirations of political office or of world dominance.

As far as considering this particular sura's context in which it was written, it appears only to be positive towards the revisionism of pre-existing Islamic theology ( jahiliyya ) by inserting through abrogation a revision of pre-existing Christian theology with the god of Islam. And no, I am not an Al Qaedan as you so eloquently put it, nor a Muslim.
