So has your wife been genitally mutilated? Is she restricted from driving? Does her word count less than a male's in court? Would she be arrested for drinking coffee in a coffe shop with men and women from work? Can she get her own medical care and travel without need of a male's permission? Is she your only wife, or does she have to share you at your whim with other females?

Those practices are not universal, but there are countries that call themselves "Muslim" who practice all of them and more. So if your wife doesn't have to live under such savagery, then of course it's not a problem for her--except that it's a problem for all humanity if even some humans are not allowed to live as full human beings.
