To PDM -- on Iraqi oil

Reader comment on item: Prepare to attack [Iran]
in response to reader comment: WMD is an excuse?

The war on Iraq is being fought by private companies, they create noise about suicide attacks extremism etc while the oil companies are looting Iraq's oil. That the prices have gone up have nothing to do with the supply side but more so with speculations based on (engineered) uncertainties and with the health of petro-dollar.

The chaos and disorder in Iraq and in the region means less accountability, and more freedom for those interested in oil resources. and if you are underestimating the importance of oil to our lifestyles and economy then get your head out the sand!
