It seems that Christians all say the answers are in the Christian Bible, and the Jews say it's in the Jewish writings, and the Muslims say it's in the Islamic writings. And proponents of all say to others they must read those particular books to understand it.

Why don't they just tell us why instead of always imploring everyone to read their own "sacred" writings? Maybe there are answers there, but not everyone intends to become a comparative religion scholar. So if you think you have an answer, just say it.
