in response to reader comment: But you forgot to tell us that the Qur'an is also silent about the male variety of genital mutilation

The Qur'an is also silent about male genital mutilation that does not stop muslims from sexually mutilating their little boys. Well the Qur'an is also silent about FMG so why should this stop Muslims from subjecting their women to FMG more so when Abul Qasim declares in the bogus Hadith that FMG is makrouma?

Quran neither talks about FGC or MGC but it says be a Muslim like Prophet Ibrahim (May peace and blessings of Allah on him). And Prophet Mohammad (May peace and blessings of Allah on him) told us that it is the way of Prophet Ibrahim (May peace and blessings of Allah on him) for man to do Male Genitalia Circumcision (MGC).

Being the believer of Prophet Mohammad (May peace and blessings of Allah on him), Muslims do Male Genitalia Circumcision (MGC) to follow the way of Prophet Ibrahim and Mohammad (May peace and blessings of Allah on him).

I hope you will be already aware that Female genitalia mutilation (FGC) is not explicitly endorsed in the Qur'an and is not practiced by the majority of Muslims including Shi'ite sects.

African countries especially Egypt has brought so much strictness in this issue for no good reason. Though I believe that, FGC is no compulsion to be a Muslim.

If woman wish FGC, it should not be no more than to remove a small piece of the hood over the clitoris in order to increase sexual pleasure.

My love to you.
