Love not fear

Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone
in response to reader comment: To Oliver: All Prophets taught the same "Moral Model" "Fear All Mighty and Follow me".

Submitted by Oliver (United States), Jul 3, 2007 at 01:47

Syed - the Jews asked Jesus what was the greatest commandment, He said, "to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul ... and the second is much like it ... to love your neighbor as yourself."

Christianity begins with love and proceeds to respect and reverence and fellowship and returns to love.

Islam begins and ends with fear and has alot of fear thrown in for good measure.

It is obvious to even the simplest observer that these two religions have totally different sources.

May the true and living God enlighten you.
