RE:Sorry buddy but Islam is the religion of the Arabs and you ain't!Reader comment on item: Bolstering Moderate Muslims Submitted by shakeel (Pakistan), May 13, 2007 at 03:17 Al-Nas, Al-Qaum and Al-Ummah all have different meanings. Al-Nas means people (in general) Al-Qaum means set of people living inside some geographical boundries, language boundries, racial boundries etc or simply nation like Chinese, Indians, Germans etc Al-Ummah means set of people following religion of Islam or simply Muslims. Suppose "CATIO" is a poisonous fish. When we say, "Al-Nas cannot eat Catio", it means human beings cannot eat Catio. But if we have said "Al-Qaumul Arab cannot eat Catio", it means only Arabs cannot eat it but Indians and other nations can eat it. But if we have said, "Al-Ummah cannot eat Catio", it means no Muslim can eat Catio. Thank you.
