Reader comment on item: Bolstering Moderate Muslims

Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Apr 18, 2007 at 08:42

Intelligence is essentially the assessment of means and intentions. Capabilities and the wish to use those capabilities. The USA is presumably able to annihilate Iraq in an instant. Iraqis assess the US intentions of annihilating iraq and all its citizens at zero, which is why they keep on killing Americans. Radical Islam is about the intention to islamize the world, and the development of means to do so. Moderate Islam is about not islamizing the world, though the means were there.

We know Radical Islam's intentions, no more intelligence is needed. The means are also well established: Oil, influence funded by Oil, cowardice engendered by Oil, and self-replication funded by the West afraid of dearth of Oil. Disconnect the Oil, and the Islamist threat becomes moot. repatriate the self=repilcators, and the Islamist threat disappears.

That's all it takes. A ban on Oil, and repatriation of all but a few Muslims, who have proven non-islamism.

If you wish to do the same to the Jews, that's OK, but it will be to American detriment
