Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities

From the March 11 issue of the Globe and Mail:

We are seeing a growing acceptance of anti-semitism as an acceptable belief to hold and to openly express and that criticism of anything Islamic is to be ashamed of and frowned upon. There is the underlying belief that somehow 'The Jews deserved it for all the bad things they have done'. We must also recognise that there is also an underlying and wide-spread anti-American sentiment throughout the world which, in the case of Sept 11, has also been expressed as "The Americans deserved it for all the bad things they have done!" and supporting Israel is one of those 'bad things'. So, if America is attacked...the Jews are to blame. Maybe, as an Egyptian newspaper speculated after 9/11, the Jews had been the actual ones who blew up the WTC to discredit Islam?

To me all of those 'kaffiyeh', those Palestinian scarves (like Arafat wears), are the new 'swastika' since wearing it symbolizes the same attitude...an open intention to destroy the Jewish people and anyone who allies themselves with them.
