freedom of speech and trivialization of issues

Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities
in response to reader comment: York University - not surprising

People are trying to invoke something as silly as freedom of speech to counter something as dangerous with existential threat to the west and civilised world - a totalitarian relgious ideology.

only Geert Wilders till now has made it clear, that its the religion and its ideology that has to be stopped, on the basis of protecting western (judeo-christian) way of life. when an amy attacks, u bring in ur army. when a religion attacks, you should bring your religion to the front. freedom of speech is a side-issue. america has been supporting dictators all over the world who kill freedom in their country. that was not a problem because till now america or west was not threatened. its diff now. unless people in the west do not rally behind their 'church', they will be destroyed.
