Canadian Stupidity

Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities

Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Jan 30, 2003 at 21:10

Daniel Pipes, an American, a respected scholar, a published author and an expert on the Mid-East is treated with disdain and disrespect by a Canadian college.

Canadian academics do not tolerate open debate on the Mid-East. To endorse America or Israel is to be branded a racist. York College has chosen to support oppressive theocratic intolerant Islam in which democratic freedoms are considered evil.

The academics at York college along with their fellow Canadians have forgotten September 11 when Islamic terrorists slaughtered 3,000 Americans. The killing machine of oppressive Islam attacked the greatest democracy in the world and York College finds this system defendable and those that take issue with it racist.

Perhaps the love affair between York College and Islam is a longing by Canadian academics to spread ignorance and intolerance among their students, to convince their student body that the enslavement of women is good for society, and that an impoverished people will take to praying 5 times a day becoming so religious that enslavement to Allah will be inevitable. And let's not forget that York College, will save tons of money and time when the only requirement for graduation is the reading of one book, the Que'ran.

Professor Pipes has once again displayed courage and fortitude by going to York University, a haven for hostility, intolerance, anti-American and anti-Israeli. The Canadian police, at the request of the school, threatened a scholar, defending democracy against oppression, as a would-be racist. This is frightening and I'm glad Professor Pipes has returned home.

York College thy name is fascism.
