More then apology is required!

Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities

Submitted by Edmund James (Canada), Jan 30, 2003 at 16:21

As an ex-student of York I am disheartened and ashamed of Professor David Dewitt and The York University Faculty Association for even considering the cancellation with false excuses. Then with pressure, especially through mass mailings and phone calls, President Lorna Marsden suggested they reconsider. What lobbying can do.

Dr. Daniel Pipes's reputation was tarnished by supposedly intelligent and responsible people; and a quick fix does not change the way free speech by civil and concerned people was handled.
