Thugs Terrorize Campus

Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities

Submitted by Alana Ronald (Canada), Mar 29, 2010 at 12:14

Mob rule, just like the brown shirts in '30's Germany, prevails on Canadian university campuses.

Why police cannot control large groups of people, or ensure the safety of participants speaks to the issue of not being cognisant of the political climate of these formerly hallowed halls.

I tried to put up a poster at Concordia after thugs demolished people and property, cancelling Netanyahu's speech, when there was to have been a moratorium on mideast events, topics, etc, yet saw a hijab clad woman giving out anitIsraeli pamphlets. Mentioning it to a security guard, I got a shrug.
