Freedom of thoughtReader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities Submitted by S.C.Panda (India), Jan 31, 2003 at 01:12 Dear Prof Pipes,My comments are follows: Thank God, you were permitted to address the York Univ. students -- albeit at some cost, of course. 1. The Islamists and non-Muslim apologists of Islam should be asked to practice freedom of thought/speech in Muslim dominated/Islamic countries before earning the right to prevent a speaker to air his/her views. 2. Freedom of thought is incompatible in militant Islam which has no respect for other faiths. Regards, Sincerely, S.C.Panda Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
