Reader comment on item: The Rot in Our [Canadian] Universities

Submitted by Eli Levanoni (Canada), Feb 1, 2003 at 08:33

While big on talks about academic and intellectual freedom, Canadian universities became the bastions of political correctness. Most faculty associations are run by left-leaning academics. Anyone who does not accept the reigning dogma is branded as a racist. However, this is neither unique to Canadian universities nor it is restricted to middle east topics. The time when universities were a place of free debate and exchange of opposing opinion is long gone.
