Reader comment on item: How Terrorism Obstructs Radical Islam

Submitted by muslim (United States), Nov 15, 2005 at 21:53

I have read the comments made by the non muslims and muslims, However I do feel that one person should research upon a religion first before accusing it in being a terrorist religion.

When a country is under a muslim rule, the people are respected, their religion is respected, their women are respected and their children are respect. When I say respected their identity are allowed to be preserved. Yes it is true majority of the people in the muslim counties were christians, but now they are muslims due to conversion. Not because they were forced into islam, no, far from it, they were attracted by the religion and converted. Look at the Mongols and the tarters for instants... They conquered majority of the muslim land, but they converted, The conquerors took the religion of the conquerered. What does this show, this shows that people do take on islam self willingly and not by the force of islam.

"There is no compulsion in religion" this is a verse from the holy Koran, which says that religion cannot be forced upon someone. Please look into the history, click on google and type islam and peace, and read about they amazing tolerance islam gave to mankind, like that in palistine and jureselam, how the three great religions of the world managed to live in harmony for centuries, before the arrival of the christian crusaders.

If you want to talk about religion enforcement, then look at your own religion for a second...When the spanish and the europeans forced the spanish muslim out of spain, forcing them to be baptised, forced to eat pork, being watched upon by the police force day and night, checking if they are doing non christian acts.... There are many to mention, but i'll let you do your own research...

Islam is a religion of peace, a religion of tollerance. The action of a few cannot account for the whole religion surely. The acts of hitler do not resemble christianity, and no one does associate hitler with christianity, same as the actions of a few muslims cannot possibly account for the 1.5 billion muslims around the world.

Mecca was conquered peacfully, Juruselem was recaptured peacfully by Salladin, doesn't this show something... Please read the Koran fully, and don't listen to the ignorant people thinking their so cleaver posting ideas across the boards contaminating your minds with rubbish about things they know little about, speaking total false.
