More on preamble to Iraqi Consitution

Reader comment on item: How Terrorism Obstructs Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: Iraqi Constitutional pre "Amble"

Submitted by Boris (United States), Aug 26, 2005 at 17:27

Don't need to read even beyond the first phrase. It starts with:

..."We the sons of Mesopotamia"

What? And this after two centuries of "We, the People..." a constitution that immediately excludes daughters of Mesopotamia and leaves sons only!? Or I am not supposed to take this literally? Excuse me, being familiar with this part of the world, I refuse to read between lines. If the country starting from the third word of its constitution begins discriminating against its own people, what kind of constitution is that? Are we fighting for this type of value? Very disappointing.
