End of Islamism?Reader comment on item: How Terrorism Obstructs Radical Islam Submitted by Victor Purinton (United States), Aug 24, 2005 at 10:14 I think that the most effective way to end Islamism is for nations that are now secular to state clearly and loudly that they will remain secular forever. Specifically, they must make clear statements that they will never be Islamic states.I'd like to ask Zogby to take a poll among American Muslims and ask a simple question: Do you wish to see the US become an Islamic state at any time in the future? I think the answer will be overwhelmingly "No!" among the general population, and overwhelmingly "Uhh ... why are you inciting hatred? " among Islamic "leaders". CAIR and other Islamic groups in the US, in fact, all Muslims around the world, have to hear this. Muslims have to start thinking of another reality for their religion, because Islamic rule around the world is a pipedream ...that has only one outcome: war. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Maybe. But note the survey of British Muslims in July 2005, at http://www.danielpipes.org/article/2797, and the statistic that one third of them agree that "Western society is decadent and immoral and that Muslims should seek to bring it to an end."DP Comment on this item
