Walter,

I agree with your argument. Either way i.e. political or lesser jihad you are subject to three choices if you are of course not killed outright

1. pay onerous taxes(dollars) and be treated as a second class citizen wearing clothes that identify you as a Non Muslim.

2. Convert to Islam

3. Death if you refuse both 1 and 2 above.

A lesson can be taken from Turkey that once a virtually all Christian nation is now a virtually all Muslim Nation. That was not accomplished by a desire to become a Muslim. They killed 250,000 Christian Greeks in Turkey in 1955 without a whimper by the world community. Turkey, once thought secular in "certain areas", is well on its way to a theocratic state --Again.
