Back to Nev: Islam is what Islam does

Reader comment on item: How Terrorism Obstructs Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: response to John Bastile on "is Islam a religion?"

Submitted by John Bastille (Malaysia), Dec 1, 2008 at 03:42

Nev,

Thank you for your effort to "educate" me by giving a list of books to read. To understand Islam better, I prefer to read the original sources - The Quran and the Sunnahs plus the Hadiths. They may be filled with hatred and vulgarity but it's original. I would not have time to read your sanitized version of Islam that has not bearing in today's world.

Understanding that Islam is begetted from a murderous, sex-crazed, cult-type and self-proclaimed prophet makes a lot more sense that the advertising jingles that muslims sing.

Therefore, thanks but no thanks. If you wish to challenge me as you said you would - you may begin now. Try not to wait until I read "all your books".
