muslims have no respect

Reader comment on item: How Terrorism Obstructs Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: islam is a peaceful religion

In the second paragraph it says that people in countries under muslim rule are respected, that is silly.

People in muslim countries are not treated with respect, first women are not respected they can not choose the clothing they wish to wear. Women are under the control of their husbands, fathers or brothers. Women do not have the same acces to education , they do not have the right to vote. In muslim countries women can not choose their husbands. All over the mulsim world female genital mutilation is very very common. Men can decide to divorce their wives, but not the other way around. In the quran it says the testimony of a woman is half that of a man. That comes from mohammed himself.

Girls in islamic countries are violated by the quranic practice of female genital mutilation.

In muslim countries , non muslims are not free to engage in their religion freely.

When living in an islamic nation there is no freedom of the press or of disent. You can not disagree with a muslim cleric or you would possibly lose your life or go to prison for life , at the very least you would lose your job.

Why do you think so many muslims leave their islamic countries to go to the non islamic west.
