in response to reader comment: Quran sanctions rape of captured women and slave girls

I mohammed Ahsan Siddiqui do not believe the above interpretition to be accurate, infact it is inclomplete and quite conveniently leaves out the conclusion of the context of the ayat (verses are to be called ayat while in reference to Quran). Convenient to make a point. I would take the oppurtunity to quote the complete translation of the verse 33 from Surah 24 (Al Nur(the Light));

" let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of his grace. - And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them, yea give them something yourselves out of the means of which Allah has given to you. But force not your mades to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. but if anyone compels them , yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft forgiving, Most merciful, (to them).
