That's only part of the story

yes it's true that Islam allows slaves ownership, but that's only part of the story. slavery has long existed before islam, and islam clearly states that an owned person is to be treated by the same principles that people treat each other with, he is to eat from what you eat, drink what you drink, and dress from what you wear. Most of islamic rules and sanctions against a person is the setting free a slave ( breakfast in ramadan, break of an owth...etc), a slave woman is to be freed if she carries the baby of her owner, and to become his wife.

To cut a long story short, slavery in Islam is promoting freedom of slaves.
