This is not the whole picture!!

I agree with you that most of the families in Saudi Arabia do not allow female maids to go out alone but they go with their hosted families anywhere. They take them to shopping centres, different ocassions and invitations, they take to the doctors when they are sick. I can say most of saudi families if not all of them are very generious with their maids as this is nature of the saudi society.

On the other hand, there are some cases( just like anywhere else) where maids can be dealt with in unpleasant way but this is usually when they do big and unacceptable deeds e.g. abusing children( by the way this kind of behaviour is very common by the maids in saudi arabia). Anyway, I do not mean to defend alll saudi people or say that they are all good, no, they are good and bad people everywhere, but I noticed that most of the posts here focused on certain cases and you generalize it to all Saudis.
