Why should this be shocking?!

Nothing that the Saudis do surprises me anymore, and our government's turning a blind eye to slaves being brought into this country shouldn't shock me...but it does! Have we really become so hardened, or is it just that the media can get this information out? Even worse, what good does it do for the media to let the public know if the public doesn't care enough to demand that oil will never be more important than human lives!
