Reader comment on item: Why Shariah Must Be Opposed
in response to reader comment: why Shariah be opposed?

Sufi Soomro, you write,

>>I am astonished and surprised about callous approach of western people regarding Islam.<<

Let me astonish and surprise you a little more:

Quran 9:28, "O you who believe! the Muslims are nothing but unclean, so they shall not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year; and if you fear poverty then Allah will enrich you out of His grace if He please; surely Allah is Knowing Wise."

008.055 YUSUFALI: For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the Muslims who reject Him: They will not believe.

008.022 YUSUFALI: For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- the Muslims who understand not.

Do these verses astonish and surprise you? They should not as I am only paraphrasing Allah by using Muslim instead of kaffir/jew/Christian.

>>Narrow and shallow knowledge is not fruitful, it always makes confuse and generate doubts.<<

Did the changes I made in the Koran confuse and generate doubts in you? It should have widened your knowledge about the fact the Koran contains lots of abuse and curses for other human beings. You can also understand how easy it is to corrupt the Koran with nothing happening to the corrupter, me.

>>It is better to read some books on Islam than deduce any thoughtful opinion about Islam and Shariah.<<

Can you suggest a book which is better to read than the Koran to understand Islam? Why should I read opinions of others when the Koran claims it is easy to understand and has a very clear message. Everytime I quote a book on Islam by a scholar to make my point I am told the scholar's Islamic credentials are suspect. Even sahih hadith are trashed by Muslims who do not like the implications of the hadith.

>>True Muslim only think positively and willing to play constructive role to bring about reforms in society.<<

Despite 1400 years of Islam Muslim societies are still the most backward compared to kuffar nations. Why is it that Muslims have not been able to think positively and be constructive like other societies.

>> Vulgarity, sex, wine and dine are alien to Islam. It is not only alien to Islam but in other religious too.<<

What is vulgarity? Sex we know what it is. If sex is alien to Islam how come there are more than a billion Muslims? Wining and dining cannot be alien as it is found in plenty in the Islamic heaven.

>>Western people do not follow religion so; they are compelling others to follow their pattern.<<

We could do with a few examples of how Westerners compel others to abandon their religion. Can you find anything similar to this verse in the Koran in Western books: 009.033 YUSUFALI: It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).

>>If Muslims are cruel and dreadful then why educated Westerns are embracing Islam.<<

How many educated Westerns can you name who are embracing Islam. I can name quite a few who are embracing Buddhism, Hinduism, Bahai. I can name many very educated Muslims who have left Islam. Salman Rushdie, Taslima Nasreen. Ayan Hirsi. And the thousands of apostates who are abandoning Islam in secret because they fear the ever ready Muslim sword.

>>No body forces them to do so. They are willing and eager.<<

Nobody forced the people who become Buddhists, Hindus etc to do so either. Nor does anyone force the Muslims to apostasize. The big difference is when those who became Muslims try to switch to some other religion when they discover the true nature of Allah and Muslims, they are threatened with death. 004.089 YUSUFALI: They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their

ranks;-

>>Americans killed hundred of thousands innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan but no body condemn Christianity.<<

Muslims are killing hundreds of thousands in Sudan. Nobody is condemning Islam either.

>>Because every body knows it was stupid idea originated by Bush.<<

Everybody knows the Janjaweed is a stupid idea of the Sudanese Muslim leaders.

>>Even he exploited religion to seek support of Priests by saying he was told by Allah to liberate Iraq People. But when Twin towers attacked, every body condemns Islam <<

Can you name a few priests who supported Bush. Check the internet to discover how many expressed joy at the destruction of the towers.

Regards

Plato
